Aqualite™ Water Treatment
Quality
The Aqualite™ Water Treatment Gardening System purify water from a variety of sources, such as ground water, rain water or re-circulation water.
It’s primarily used for incoming and recirculation water.
The system operate up to flows of 100 m3/hour, and are installed as one or more parallel connected filter tanks.
Increased transmission values
As Aqualite™ filters particles down to 1 µm, it is significantly more efficient than both a sand filter and a carbon filter.
A typical sand filter removes particles down to 50 µm, carbon filters down to 25 µm.
The transmission values (T10) is also improved with nearly 100% compared with sandfilters, which lower the cost and improve the water flow using UV lights.
Sterilization of the water
Aqualite™ Gardening exhibits a documented reduction of bacteria, viruses and fungi from 44% to 98%.
Bacteria are retained by the bead (partly because of their size).
As the Aqualite™ reduces the bacteria, you will often experience an increase in bacterial growth with a sand filter or carbon filter.
